Articles submitted to the Blood Journal will be sent to the reviewers if they comply with the journal's objectives, are approved by the editorial board and the editor-in-chief, are not identical in the peer-review system, and have a code of ethics.
The review of articles is done in a double-blind manner, meaning that the names of the authors are not known to the reviewers and vice versa.
The process of receiving an article until it enters the review process takes a maximum of one week, and the review process takes a maximum of 20 days.
Each article is sent simultaneously to at least 3 scientific referees and one statistical referee. As soon as at least 2 referee opinions and the statistical referee's opinion are prepared, a letter of correction or rejection of the article is sent to the authors. This letter also includes the results of the structural and technical reviews of the article. Authors are required to send the revised article to the referees, along with a response, within a maximum of one month.
The revised article is sent to the supervising referee and, if approved, an acceptance letter is sent to the authors.
If further revisions are needed, the necessary revisions are sent to the author again.
After the final article is approved and after Persian and Latin editing, the article is put in the queue for publication.
On average, this process takes between 2 and 3 months. |
