Objectives and Subject Areas 
The Blood Research Quarterly is a scientific journal of the Research Center of Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization and the Iranian Blood Transfusion Scientific Association. All original research articles, review articles, short articles, case reports, and letters to the editor are eligible for publication in this journal.
The purpose of publishing this magazine is to publish topics related to the recruitment, training, and retention of blood donors, the appropriate and correct use of blood and its products, and new technologies in the fields of immunohematology and transfusion medicine.

Open Access and Copyright
The Quarterly Journal of Blood Research is a Platinum Open Access journal. No fees are charged for publishing and printing articles. The costs related to the review of articles and other costs are covered by the Research Center of the Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization. All content of this journal is freely available to the audience. The copyright and publication rights of the submitted work are reserved for the authors of the work.

Plagiarism Policy
All articles submitted to the journal's website will be initially checked for plagiarism. If plagiarism is detected in an article, the submitted article will be rejected.

History
The Quarterly Journal of Blood Research began its work in the Spring of 1994 with the publication of its first issue, and after correspondence with the Ministry of Culture, it received a publication license on 19/04/1995. Its activities have been suspended since 1999, and after receiving a new license from the Ministry of Culture in March 2003, it published its first issue in the Fall of 2004.

Indexes
The articles of this quarterly are indexed in databases inside the country (Iranmedex, Magiran, SID, ISC) and outside the country (IMEMR, EBSCO, CINAHL, Index Copernicus). This publication has a scientific research rank.
